In het nieuws is nu veel ophef over CO vergiftiging ook door nieuwe cv ketels. Hiervoor is nu de CO-STOP beschikbaar om de oorzaak direct uit te schakelen!
De Elbes CO-STOP stekkerversie koolmonoxidemelder is anders dan de gebruikelijke koolmonoxidemelders. Deze schakelt namelijk bij alarm direct de aangesloten cv-ketel uit. Bij een gewone koolmonoxidemelder wordt de CV ketel niet uitgeschakeld.
De CO-STOP is zo belangrijk omdat mensen bij alarm altijd de neiging hebben om te gaan kijken waar het probleem vandaan komt terwijl dit juist niet moet. Bij de Elbes CO-STOP koolmonoxidemelder is dat minder relevant want deze schakelt op dat moment gelijk de stoorzender uit.
